WHAT IS COCONUT FATTY ACID DISTILLATE (CFAD)

Coconut Fatty Acid Distillate (CFAD) is a product of the physical refining of coconut oil. Coconut Fatty Acid Distillate (CFAD) cannot be consumed directly like pure vegetable oil. Because this vegetable oil is in the form of raw materials but it can also be used as a mixture for animal feed.

The processed raw materials will later be mixed with other ingredients to become a finished product that can be used for manufacturing such as soap and cosmetics.

Making Coconut Fatty Acid Distillate (CFAD)

Fatty Acid is made using a distillation process. The separation is based on the boiling points of each carbon chain. The short carbon chain will separate earlier than the long carbon chain. Distillation can remove unwanted colors and odors.
